Project Overview
MedAdvantage Helpline helps people find the right Medicare Advantage plan with guidance from a real licensed broker instead of a call-center aggregator. The problem: in this market, the aggregators dominate search results.
The constraint was visibility and trust signals, not design. Search engines saw a small site; they did not see the 25 years of licensed experience behind it. And with more people asking AI assistants for Medicare help, the site also had to be readable and citable by machines, not just people.
We ran a full technical SEO and structured data program across every page of the site, then verified every fix in the rendered HTML across repeated full-site audits.
Key Challenges
- Competing against national aggregators with far bigger budgets
- No structured data telling search engines who the specialist is
- Service and state pages invisible as entities to search engines
- AI assistants becoming a major source of Medicare questions
- Every fix had to be verified in the rendered page, not just the database
The site needed to punch far above its size. That meant getting every technical signal right: schema, internal linking, accessibility, and page speed, with zero errors left behind.
The Solution
We treated the site like a fleet-grade SEO project: crawl everything, fix what the data shows, verify in the rendered HTML, and repeat until a full audit comes back clean.
The result is a site that search engines and AI assistants can read as a set of clear entities: a licensed specialist, his agency, his services, and the states he serves.
- Structured Data and Entities
We built out schema across all 23 pages: the agency with address and place data, 12 service schemas, 9 state pages, breadcrumbs sitewide, and a Person entity for Mark that matches his author profile so search engines merge them into one specialist.
- Internal Linking
Footer and in-content links now connect every page of the site, with authoritative outbound anchors to medicare.gov where readers expect them.
- AI Search Readiness
With Medicare questions moving into AI assistants, we structured the content and entities so the site can be cited as a source. This is the same method behind our Generative Engine Optimization service.
- Accessibility and Trust
Screen reader labels on icon links, correct heading structure, and clean security headers. Small details that both users and ranking systems reward.
- Verified, Repeatedly
Four full-site crawls after the changes: every URL healthy, zero invalid structured data, and a median server response of 0.17 seconds.
The Result
The site now presents Mark as what he is: a named, licensed specialist with 25 years of experience, in a market full of anonymous lead farms.
Four consecutive full-site audits came back clean: every page healthy, structured data valid on every URL, and a median server response time of 0.17 seconds.
The technical ceiling is gone. Ongoing work now focuses on content and reviews, the parts that compound over time.
